Toronto, Canada (April 16, 2019) – For the second year running, FitIn Ltd will participate in CAMH’s One Brave Night event, this year rallying the Toronto fitness community to raise $5,000.
In the past 2-3 years, there have been more studio gyms than ever open up, and more independent instructors and personal trainers going into business for themselves. Gym memberships have dropped, as people look for more fitness ‘experiences’ to keep them interested and engaged in their health and wellness.
FitIn is organizing two ways for people to contribute:
- Firstly, in partnership with Kelly Enston of KellyKinetics AND Nora Mazit of LevelUp Fitness (local personal trainers and fitness instructors, both of whom are affiliates on the FitIn platform), anyone who donates under the FitIn team page is invited to attend an exclusive and free fitness class on One Brave Night. The event will be held May 10th, 2019 at 6pm at a location to be announced.
- The second exciting challenge is to local instructors, studios and gyms: for every class that gets uploaded to the FitIn platform from May 1 to May 10, FitIn will donate $1 to the campaign. (Gyms/studios can choose from a freemium or paid monthly membership.)
Founder & CEO Catherine Chan explains, “A bit of a social enterprise at heart, FitIn was designed specifically to reduce the roadblocks involved in finding an activity for those suffering from mental health issues. Exercise has been proven to be an excellent management tool for stress, anxiety and depression, however, the process of finding a class can be overwhelming when you’re burdened with these illnesses.”
FitIn.io is the Expedia of the fitness industry, connecting Canadians with exercise classes, personal trainers, events and activities near them. FitIn has also incorporated a category dedicated specifically to mental health and wellness, to better serve those looking for meditation or mindfulness options.
